I'VE GOT A SECRET!

There is the Mile High Club and the Second Wives Club so there isn't any reason for the Happily Ever After Couples Club. Except, it would be a very, very small club.

Less than 1% of couples describe their relationship as "blissful." The vast majority only rank their relationship as "average" or "good".

If there was such a club, Michael Webb would probably be one of the founding members. Growing up in a family rife with divorce, Webb made it his goal find and observe as many blissfully married couples he could. Following the "secrets" he discovered, he went on to have his own blissful marriage, now going on a dozen years.

He's cataloged his 20 years of observation in a new book, 50 Secrets of Blissful Relationships. It has some surprising looks at these couples philosophies on dating, sex, long distance relationships, finances and other important issues.

Love is not Something you Say, Its Something you Do

Many have problems with communication and using that "love" word. We all do need to hear those special words once in a while, but there are some great ways to say I love you non verbally. Check it out!

I remember, as a young child, waking up on Christmas morning and finding toys assembled and stockings filled with delights. I remember the glow on my father's face and later came to understand just what that smile was all about.

I remember coming home from school and finding freshly baked cookies for snack.

I remember the joyous look in my daughter's eyes as she found her father and me sitting in the audience of her first school play.

I remember how nice I feel when a family member has performed a chore that I normally do.

I remember the pride in my daughter's face when I was helping mother at school. I used to volunteer my mother's services and she usually was able to come. Oh what pride I felt.

I remember the expression on my husband's face when he found the "post it" love note on the steering wheel of his car.

There are so many ways to say, "I love you, adore you," etc...Take some time to remember your experiences of love shared. Perhaps you might even share one of those tonight with that special someone, or create a new one.
